Suzette has come full circle on her own healing journey of transforming severe anxiety and panic into a life of joy and open possibilities, and she would like to help you with your journey.
"The world stopped for me in my early 20's when panic attacks and chronic anxiety caused me to leave college, stop driving, stop socializing, and eventually stop going anywhere without a "safe person" and where there was access to a quick exit."
Suzette spent many years in traditional behavioral-based therapy that told her she was "problematic" and that she should be "more logical" and "able to control her thoughts." She was constantly being prescribed medications that temporarily masked the real problems and caused unwanted side effects. Suzette was told repeatedly that she was "an anxious person" and that she would have to spend the rest of her life "managing her anxiety."
After discovering her path out and getting her life back, Suzette became a therapist so she could share her knowledge, skills, and insights with you, helping you move towards your future with calmness and confidence. She is excited to be able to offer clients the concepts of a preferred identity, psychological flexibility, mindful awareness, focused attention, and perception through the observing self.
Suzette is passionate about neuroscience and mind/body integration and enjoys helping clients create new neural pathways, bringing forth new possibilities and preferred stories.
